Starting June 6, Robin Padilla will showcase his acting skills anew for ABS-CBN's upcoming primetime series, Guns and Roses. He acts opposite Bea Alonzo and Diether Ocampo in this show directed by Trina Dayrit and Rechie del Carmen. This actionserye is said to replace Mara Clara.
How does Robin feel about doing a teleserye again with ABS-CBN?
Some people have observed that Robin is always beside his leading lady, Bea.
Robin describes his character, Abel, as someone "na may matinding pagmamahal as puso ngunit meron ding matinding paghihiganti."
KISSING SCENES WITH ROBIN. When the lead stars were asked to recall her kissing scenes, Robin himself admitted, "Nag-request ako" while Bea said that she couldn't remember anymore.
Robin said he did not feel any awkwardness while shooting these scenes. "Sa akin po, wala. Isang karangalan yun. Hindi kinakailang ng lalaki yun. Aba, pinapagpasalamat yun!"
Did Robin really request for additional kissing scenes?
The actress said with a laugh, "Sana, sinabi mo na lang."
The action star then took it back by saying, "Biro lang ma'am [referring to Bea]."
ISABEL RIVAS' COMEBACK. This teleserye will also mark the return of Ms. Isabel Rivas to the small screen as the mother of Reign (Bea). She told the members of the media during the press con: "Happy ako...kasi hindi ako kontrabida. For a long time in my career, kontrabida ako. I'm very proud kasi fan ako ni Bea, nanood ako ng movies niya, sila ni Lorna [in Sa 'Yo Lamang]. Sabi ko, 'talagang magaling itong bata 'to.' Now, anak ko na siya at starstruck talaga ako nung first taping day. Eventually, you just learn to love and accept her because she's so beautiful."
She also recalled the time when she and Robin worked together in the past. "I worked with Robin when he was younger.
"After so long, five years yata akong hindi nagtrabaho and ito yung pagbabalik ko.
Bea Alonzo was very flattered by the praise given to her by Ms. Isabel.
Nae-excite ako pag nakakabasa ako sa script ng magagandang eksena with her. She's very, very professional and she's really nice to work with."
Aside from starring Robin, Bea and Diether, Guns and Roses stars Ejay Falcon, Empress, Pinky Amador, Nanding Josef, Mark Gil, Liza Lorena, Gladys Reyes, Ketchup Eusebio, Ina Feleo, Justin de Leon, Makisig Morales and Pen Medina.
SYNOPSIS. Is love enough to heal wounds? This is the basic premise of ABS-CBN's upcoming teleserye, Guns and Roses.
It tells the story of a man named Abel Marasigan (Robin Padilla) whose past is riddled with pain and anger back when he was still ten years old. Fueled by his revenge, he leaves s family to kill the people behind the death of his father.
As the story continues, he crosses paths with Reign Santana (Bea Alonzo), a woman who had just lost her fiancée in a seemingly incidental shooting. Both lonely hearts intertwine as their stories of broken family and estranged hearts draw them closer together.
However, one man stands between them: agent of law Marcus Aguilar (Diether Ocampo) who is the one responsible for Reign's case. Eventually, he falls in love with Reign even though Abel and Reign for their love no matter how complicated their situation may be.
The show dares to asks viewers: "What choices do we have to make sa ngalan ng pag-ibig? Sometimes the choices are easy, sometimes they're not. But sometimes it can destroy us.
