Comedienne Pokwang was left to tears Wednesday expressing her thoughts on the departure of “Pilipinas Win na Win” co-host Kris Aquino from their ABS-CBN afternoon variety show.

In a press conference of her upcoming major concert “Endangered Species” on Wednesday, Pokwang paused and wept when asked if she and Kris had talked after the news broke that she would leave the show.

“Araw-araw po kami nag-uusap,” said Pokwang. “Ma-mi-miss ko siya. Yun lang.”

Pokwang told Yahoo! Southeast Asia after the press conference that her friendship with Kris was special.

She said they would schedule days when they are tasked to bring food. But the most cherished moments they had together during breaks in the show, she said, were those times they talked seriously about personal matters.

The comedienne revealed the most treasured advice she got from Kris .

“Financial. Instead, puro positive lahat. Kaya lalo akong humahanga sa kanya,” she said.

Starting Monday, October 4, Kris will be replaced by a group of male OPM legends, collectively called the “Hitmakers,” in “Win na Win.” They include Rico J. Puno, Marco Sison, Rey Valera , and Nonoy Zuniga.

Sought for comment, Pokwang said, “Hindi ko pa sila nakatrabaho ng matagalan. Although noon pa man hinangaan at ni-re-respeto ko sila dahil ginagalang sila sa industriya.”

On the latest reformat, Pokwang said she has mixed emotions.

Magtutulungan kaming bonggang bongga talaga para maitaguyod,” she said.

She however appealed to the televiewers to still give the show another chance.

Lahat ng show nagsisimula sa maliit dib a? Yun lang chance lang. Nakikiusap ako na huwag kaming husgahan,” she said.

Pokwang said she has no idea what’s in store for Friday, the last day Kris appears on the show.

“Kung pwede nga huwag na mag-Friday,” she said.
