A Repost From Manila Bulletin

Sarah Geronimo grows up, cries her pain to Judy Ann Santos

In a momentary slip of tongue, Sarah Geronimo talked about the pain she reveals to ''Hating Kapatid'' co-star Judy Ann Santos.

''Na-i-ease yung pain ko when someone talks to me about mga advice especially si Ate Juday because she's like a role model to me,'' said Sarah during the Viva movie's press conference last Thursday.

The singer-actress denied the rumor that she cried to Sharon Cuneta while on a break for a TV show taping. ''Walang ganun. San po kaya galing yun? Kasi masaya po yung taping namin with Ms. Sharon, wala pong iyakang nangyari. Wala po akong boylet na iniyakan sa kanya. Baka po piglet.''

But kidding aside, Sarah claimed she has matured and that she's no longer the girl confined to ''Po and opo'' answers.

Asked to expound on the ''pain'' she confides to Juday, Sarah candidly shared, ''Dumating po sa pagkakataon na nasaktan po ako kasi lahat naman po tayo nasasaktan pero wala na po 'yun.''

She also declared that she has evolved into a fighter. ''Naging fighter din naman ako kahit paano. Parang si Ate Juday. Hindi na ako puro 'opo nang opo.'''

Judy Ann refused to reveal who caused Sarah's pain but she hinted only ''one person'' is behind it which left entertainment scribes speculating who among the two Cruzes was it - John Lloyd or Rayver - that caused Sarah to hurt that much in the not so distant past. I don't need a man The real box-office test happens soon for Sarah who is out to establish that she can conquer theaters minus John Lloyd Cruz when the new Viva comedy-drama ''Hating Kapatid'' opens in theaters on July 21.

Sarah enjoyed working with the pregnant Judy Ann and director Wenn Deramas too much that she forgot to worry on whether this new formula - of starring opposite another female superstar - would suit her.

''This is a welcome project na iba naman for me. Hindi siya based masyado sa romance appeal but the best part about this project is that I'm working with Ms. Judy Ann Santos na talaga namang malaking opportunity,'' she said.

Judy Ann feels that she and Sarah will most likely take the sisterhood they developed beyond ''Hating Kapatid'' because the young actress shared much of herself while filming.

''Yung personality ni Sarah is the kind na alam kong magiging close pa rin sa akin even after the movie. Mahirap lang talaga pagsalitain si Sarah kasi puro tawa. Pero nung nag-warm up na siya, ang dami na niyang naikuwento kaya masasabi kong marami na kaming alam sa personal na buhay ni Sarah.''

Sarah also stressed how it was a breath of fresh air to work with Luis Manzano, who plays Sarah's love interest in the film. ''Parang hindi trabaho 'pag kasama mo si Luis. Masaya lang lagi sa set. Masayang makatrabaho 'yung taong ganun ang attitude sa work at very professional naman.''

Also in the movie are JC de Vera, Tonton Gutierrez, Vice Ganda, DJ Durano, Cherry Pie Picache, and Gina Pareno. Viva Films' ''Hating Kapatid'' will have a series of international screenings.
