Sarah Geronimo is hotter than ever! After going through tough times in the field of love, she comes out stronger and fiercer without veering away from her good-girl roots.
Sarah Geronimo is stronger...and sexier!
This December, pop star princess Sarah Geronimo graces the cover of Cosmopolitan Magazine Philippines for the second time.
Compared to her previous cover feature in November 2008, the 23-year-old singer now sports a bolder, sexier look.
"We wanted to bring out Sarah's inner Cosmo girl," says editor-in-chief Myrza Sison in an interview with Cosmo TV. (CLICK HERE to view video)
"It's been three years since she was on the cover and she's really grown into a lovely, confident young woman.
"We wanted to capture that."
Fashion director Ana Kalaw figured it would be perfect to show Sarah wearing a variety of sexy dresses, which are also perfect for the month's party-heavy nights.
"We wanted to connote the party atmosphere so we used a lot of fun clothing—a lot of sparkly, colorful, gold, and metallic clothes to bring out that festive feel."
On the cover, Sarah wears a nude stretch dress with black lace overlay by local designer Tina Daniac.
Inside, she dons a white and lavender mini dress with paillettes by Kristel Yulo.
Both outfits are obviously more daring compared to her "wholesome" wardrobe.
In fact, it has been known among her fans and the circle of stylists she regularly works with that anything that raises two or three inches above the knee is a no-no for Sarah.
If in case the dress falls too short, she'd opt to wear leggings or tights underneath just to cover her legs.
Every Sunday, she performs song and dance numbers in ASAP Rocks, channeling pop stars ranging from Lady Gaga to Katy Perry and her personal favorite Beyonce.
Her performance level seems to see no limit, but she's somewhat restrained when it comes to her outfit.
Sarah admits to being quite a "manang" when it comes to her style. But whenever she sees her fellow artists wearing sexy clothes, she admits to feeling the pressure of joining the band wagon.
But her clear head has usually prevailed.
She relates in her magazine interview, "The girls who wear sexy clothes—skimpy ba ang tawag dun?—in ASAP, it does get to me.
"Wow, ang ganda ng legs ni Anne [Curtis].
"O, eto, maganda ang mukha. Sana ako din bigyan ng ganyang legs.
"But that's not me. Ayokong magpadala. I'll always be the girl who doesn't wear lipstick when I don't have to."
