Rayver Cruz on settling down with Cristine Reyes: "Nasa kanya naman yun kung hindi niya na ako pakakawalan, e!"

Sinabi ni Cristine Reyes sa isang interview na kung sakaling lalagay na siya sa tahimik, o ready na siyang mag-asawa, ang gusto niyang makatuluyan ay ang boyfriend niya ngayong si Rayver Cruz.

Kaya naman nang makapanayam ng PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) si Rayver pagkatapos ng ASAP Rocks kahapon, March 6, ay kinuha namin ang reaksiyon niya sa pahayag ni Cristine.

"Nasa kanya naman yun kung hindi niya na ako pakakawalan, e!" natatawang biro ni Rayver.

Paliwanag niya, "E, kasi siyempre naman, pag nasa isang relasyon ka, ayaw mo siyempre ng papalit-palit, di ba? Gusto mo magtagal kayo. At kung sino ang karelasyon mo, siyempre gusto mo siya na talaga ang makatuluyan mo. Kaya yun ang nasabi niya."

Si Cristine na rin ba ang gusto niyang makatuluyan?

"Mahirap magsalita ng tapos. Pero sa ngayon talaga, happy ako sa kanya. And alam ko naman na magtatagal kami kasi, so far, strong yung relationship namin. Basta mga bata pa kami, tingnan na lang natin kung anong mangyayari."

Hindi na ba siya natutukso sa ibang babae?

"Siyempre naman pag may karelasyon ka, gusto mo maging loyal ka lang sa kanya, di ba? Ako naman, masasabi ko na loyal ako sa kanya [Cristine]," sagot ng 21-year-old actor.

Ngayong magkasintahan na sila, balitang pinagbabawalan na raw ni Rayver si Cristine magpa-sexy sa kanyang mga roles. Hindi na raw puwedeng gumawa ng love scene o kissing scene si Cristine sa mga nakakapareha niya.

"Walang ganoon," tanggi ni Rayver. "Pagdating sa trabaho, never akong maghihigpit sa kanya. Kasi work niya yun, e. Ginagawa niya lang ang trabaho niya bilang isang artista."

Wala siyang nararamdamang selos?

"Oo naman," sagot niya.

Nagmistulang "he said, she said" ang isyung kinasasangkutan ng comedienne na si Giselle Sanchez at ng dating model-actor na si Illac Diaz.

Sa panayam ng PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) sa una, sinabi nitong hindi raw imbento at galing sa isa ng source ang mga isinulat niya sa kanyang column na "Gossip Girl," kung saan pinalabas na may love triangle sa pagitan nina Julia Clarete, Illac, at Angelica Jones. Sa Miyerkules, March 9, pa ilalathala ni Giselle ang kanyang opisyal na pahayag tungkol sa kontrobersiya, kung saan kailangan niyang sagutin ang tatlong detalye na kanyang isinaiwalat.

Una, nagkaroon nga ba ng nakaraan sina Illac at Angelica?

Pangalawa, nagpunta nga ba si Julia sa San Pablo City, kung saan, ayon sa "deep penetration agent" ni Giselle ay nakita raw ng Eat Bulaga! host na palabas ng simbahan ang board member at ang Young Global Leader awardee.

Pangatlo, ang tungkol sa brainstorming daw nina Illac at Angelica sa jacuzzi ng Laguna springs.

Na-quote si Angelica sa column ni Giselle na bago raw ang partnership sa plastic bottle classroom ay "exclusively dating" sila noon ni Illac.

Sabi ni Angelica, "Before Illac offered his free consultancy services to be my partner in building this public classroom entirely from plastic bottles, Illac and I were dating exclusively. When we started the project, we decided to stop dating so that we could focus all our energies in building and finishing this project. That was the time he started to date Julia and he told me about it. I was also pretty shocked to see Julia in church on my birthday and she did not seem so happy to see me and Illac together.'"

Subalit iba ang naging pahayag ni Angelica noong nakausap siya ng PEP.

Inamin nito na nag-date sila ni Illac, pero dinenay niya ang tungkol sa pagbe-brainstorm sa jacuzzi. Itinanggi rin nito na siya ang pinanggalingan ng istorya ni Giselle. Pero hindi naman ito nakapag-comment kung totoo ba ang iba pang binanggit sa "Gossip Girl."

ANGELICA'S SIDE. Upang mas linawin ang isyung ito ay sinubukan ng PEP na kunin ang panig ni Angelica.

Noong Huwebes, March 3, ay ilang beses tinawagan ng writer na ito si Angelica sa cell phone at nagpadala rin kami ng text messages sa kanya. Pero hindi nito sinagot ang aming mga tawag at text messages.

Kinabukasan, March 4, ay muli naming sinubukang tawagan si Angelica noong umaga. Sumagot na sa pagkakataong ito ang dating comedienne, pero sinabi niyang bandang tanghali na lang namin siya tawagan muli dahil kagigising lang daw niya.

Nang tawagan namin siya sa oras na itinakda niya ay hindi na kami maka-connect sa cell phone ni Angelica.

Kinagabihan ay sinubukan namin uling kontakin ang actress-politician, at sa pagkakataong ito ay nakausap na namin siya.

Hindi na kami nagpaligoy-ligoy at agad namin siyang tinanong tungkol sa pagde-deny ni Illac na may "dating exclusively" na naganap sa pagitan nila noon.

Paliwanag ni Angelica, "Before pa kasi yun. Bago pa magkaroon ng bottle school. Bago pa ako maging Board Member, bago pa yung election. Last year, matagal na.

"Yung exclusively dating, dati pa kasi, hindi ngayon, matagal na... Ayoko na ngang magsalita."

Kumusta ang relasyon nila ngayon ni Illac pagkatapos lumabas ng column ni Giselle?

"Tuloy pa rin ang school project namin, pero hindi pa kami nag-uusap," sagot ni Angelica. "Hindi pa kami nakakapag-usap nang personal. Nagti-text lang.

"Nagulat din siya [Illac] sa write-up. Actually, wala talaga akong alam tungkol do'n."

Binanggit namin kay Angelica na dahil na-quote siya sa column ni Giselle ay may nag-aakalang siya ang source ng lumabas na item.

Itinanggi ito agad ni Angelica.

"Hindi galing sa akin yun," sabi niya. "Actually, tinawagan ko si Giselle. Sabi ko, 'Bakit nagkaroon ng isyu na ganoon?'

"Busy ako sa bottle school namin. Kaya nagulat na lang din akong talaga."

Nasabi niyang "exclusively dating" sila noon ni Illac. Gaano katagal ang naging relasyon nila?

"It was not a relationship. It was just exclusively dating," paglilinaw ni Angelica.

Gaano katagal umabot ang pagde-date nila?

"Hindi ko na matandaan. Matagal na yun," sagot niya.

Months, weeks, or days?

"Eight months siguro."

May nabanggit din si Giselle sa kanyang column na nagbe-brainstorming daw sina Angelica at Illac para sa kanilang projects sa "hot jacuzzis of the Laguna springs." Totoo ba ito?

"Wala. That's not true," tanggi ni Angelica. "Kaya nagulat ako na may ganoong write-up. Unang-una, hindi maganda. At walang gano'n."

Sa palagay ni Angelica, saan nakuha ni Giselle ang detalyeng ito sa kanyang column?

"Hindi ko naman alam na magra-write siya ng ganoon. Actually, hindi tama. Wala akong sinasabi sa kanya na ganoon. She told me naman na iko-correct daw niya," sabi niya.

Pero noong tanungin siya ng, 'Masasabi ba niyang hindi totoo ang lumabas sa column ni Giselle?' "No comment" ang maikli niyang tugon.

"No comment" din ang mabilis na sagot ni Angelica sa sumunod na tanong ng PEP sa kanya kung nakita niya sa sinasabing simbahan sa San Pablo si Julia na sumugod daw roon.

Pagkatapos nito ay bigla na lang naputol ang linya.

Sinubukan ng PEP na tawagan muli si Angelica ng ilang beses upang ipagpatuloy sana namin ang aming interview, pero hindi na nito sinagot ang aming mga tawag.

Quiapo among the world’s ‘most notorious’ places for piracy

QUIAPO CITY, METRO MANILA – The Manila district of Quiapo is listed as among the top most notorious places for piracy worldwide in a report by the United States Trade Representative (USTR).

The USTR’s Notorious Markets List identified 16 other locations where piracy is alleged to be at its worst. Other countries identified are China, Ecuador, Paraguay, Indonesia, Argentina, India, Ukraine, Thailand, Russia, Mexico, Pakistan, and Colombia.

According to the report, Quiapo is just one example of other locations within Metro Manila that deal with counterfeit and pirated goods, which include clothes, shoes, watches, and handbags.

Quiapo is also a haven for pirated movies, music and software in DVDs or CDs.

The USTR list also emphasized on digital or Internet piracy, particuarly peer-to-peer and torrent downloading.

Some of the identified notorious download applications and online sevices are ThePirateBay, IsoHunt, Btjunkie, and torrentz. It also identified a smartphone-based download application called 91.com, apparently operating in China.

The list was originally intended to be part of the annual USTR’s Special 301 report, but was decided to be published separately as a means to expose the locations where piracy is rampant.

It also urges government units in the these locations to intensify their activities against the distribution and selling of pirated or counterfeit items.

Meanwhile, the Special 301 is a comprehensive study of trade concerns, particularly on piracy of brands and goods, of countries that have bilateral trade agreements with the US.

The Philippine government has been fighting to have the country downgraded in the priority watchlist of USTR.

Last February, during a video conference of the Philippines-US Trade and Investment Facilitation Agreement, USTR representatives told members of the Intellectual Propert Office of the Philippines (IPOPHIL) that it will be retaining the Philippines in the ordinary watch list.

However, the USTR said it is recognizing the sustained efforts of the Philippine government in its fight against piracy and in protecting intellectual property rights in the country.

The most recent report of the IPOPHIL’s National Committee on Intellectual Property Rights (NCIPR), which was in late 2009, cites that at least P5.6 billion worth of counterfeit goods were seized in 2009 alone, nearly double from the previous year wherein there were P3.5 billion worth of seized goods.

Surprisingly, the Business Software Alliance (BSA) reported that in 2009 the software piracy problem in the Philippines has already ballooned to over P9 billion.

In response to the increasing piracy and counterfeit goods trade in the Philippines, the IPOPHIL initiated its Roadmap 2011 where it sets eight goals to achieve intellectual property protection and promotion in the country.

  Is the popular all-girl dance group largely identified with the longest running television show in the country “Eat Bulaga!” switching to its noontime rivals?

  ABS-CBN announced in a press release sent to Yahoo! Southeast Asia on Friday, March 4 that the Sex Bomb Dancers will guest in its noontime show “Happy Yipee Yehey!” on Saturday, March 5.
  
  The group, known for their hit songs “Spaghetti,” “Halukay Ube” and “Bilog na Hugis Itlog” will be gracing the Kapamilya stage for the very first time to the delight of the ABS-CBN show’s hosts.

  “Kami dito sa ‘Happy Yipee Yehey!’ happy lang kami, walang away-away. Kaya sobrang masaya talaga kami na i-guest ang Sexbomb dito sa show dahil alam namin na saya lang din ang hatid nila para sa ating mga kababayan,” John and Randy said in a joint statement in the press release.
  
  Mariel, on the other hand, said she was ready for a “showdown” with the girls. “Kung yan ang magpapasaya sa sa sambayanang Pilipino, I’ll give my best shot this Saturday,” Mariel said in the press release.
  
  Toni Gonzaga, who once worked with SexBomb as a former host of “Eat Bulaga” expressed her excitement in reuniting with the group onstage.
  
  “It was seven years ago when I last worked with them, kaya sobrang na-excite ako noong nalaman ko na they will guest here in ‘Happy Yipee Yehey!’ I'm proud of them dahil produkto sila ng aming magaling na choreographer dito sa show na Ms. Joy Cancio,” Toni was also quoted in the release.
  
  Joy had been the manager of the dance group since its inception as back-up dancers for “Eat Bulaga’s” game portions in the last decade.
  
  But a falling out with “Eat Bulaga” producers led to the group’s suspension from the show years back. Although they were reinstated, the group’s involvement in the show became scarcer as they competed against another in-house all-girl dance group, the EB Babes.
  
  As their appearance on Eat Bulaga dwindled and their afternoon TV drama anthology “Daisy Siete” canceled, the group faced uncertain prospects on a very crowded TV space. Joy had long searched for a more stable arrangement for the girls until she landed the job of main choreographer of the new ABS-CBN noontime show “Happy Yipee Yehey!” It is apparent that this has opened doors for SexBomb, though placing them head to head against the show that started the group.
  
  Reports say that Joy had never informed “Eat Bulaga” about her decision to take the job of choreographer in its rival show. Now a bigger surprise seemed to be out on the 32-year old variety show, but obviously not totally unexpected.

Tahimik lang na pinalipas ni Maricel Soriano ang kanyang 46th birthday noong February 25. Hindi kasi nakaugalian ng Diamond Star ang magkaroon ng magarbong selebrasyon tuwing birthday niya.

Pero bago sumapit ang birthday ni Maricel, may lumabas na tsismis na kinulong diumano siya sa "basement" ng isang ospital.

Wala kasing balita tungkol sa aktres na huling napanood sa Pilyang Kerubin sa GMA-7.

Itinanggi ng manager at best friend ni Maricel na si Malou Choa-Fagar ang balitang na-confine sa "basement" ng isang ospital ang aktres.

"Saan naman galing ang tsismis na 'yan? Nakita nga kami ni Tita Annabelle [Rama] nang mag-dinner kami sa Manila Peninsula last February 12. So, with Tita Annabelle na nakita kami, I'm sure siya mismo ang magpapatunay na alive and kicking si Maria," sabi ni Ma'am Malou sa PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal).

Binanggit pa ni Ma'am Malou na ang huling showbiz event na dinaluhan ni Maricel ay ang kasal ni Roxanne Guinoo kay Elton Yap noong January 23. Naging ninang siya sa kasal ni Roxanne dahil nagkasama ang dalawa sa mystery-horror na Florinda ng ABS-CBN.

"Maayos ang hitsura ni Maricel nung kasal. Kaya nagtataka ako kung bakit may tsismis na nasa basement siya," sambit pa ng Eat Bulaga! executive.

Sa huli pakikipag-usap ng PEP kay Ma'am Malou, hiniling namin sa kanya na kunan ng reaksiyon si Maricel sa isyung na-confine siya sa basement.

Heto ang one liner na reaksiyon ni Maricel: "Wala ako sa basement! Nasa penthouse ako ngayon!"

Sa ngayon kasi, sa penthouse ng Rockwell sa Makati City nakatira ang Diamond Star.

Phil Younghusband admits he and Angel Locsin have gone out together but says they "haven't done any formal date yet"

Philippine Azkals member Phil Younghusband admitted that he and actress Angel Locsin have gone out together, but says, "We haven't done any formal date yet."

It may be recalled that the English-Filipino footballer first asked Angel out for Valentine's Day on Twitter. This post so created a buzz, it became entertainment headline the following day. (CLICK HERE to read related article.)

In an interview with the 23-year-old athlete, who was launched as the newest endorser of Hush Puppies this afternoon, March 2, at the Resorts World Manila in Pasay City, he related that he and Angel have gone out a couple of times already.

"One time we went to the firing range. Another time with friends and family. We haven't really been out in public," Phil said.

However, he was quick to clarify that these were just plain hanging out and that these occasions didn't signify anything more.

"We're not formally dating yet," Phil said. "We've hung out a few times with friends and family. We get to know each other, learning new things about each other, but we're not formally dating. We're friends."

Asked if he has plans to pursue the 25-year-old actress, the Azkal striker replied, "I don't know. Right now, Angel and I are getting to know each other. We don't wanna plan and say I'm definitely with her."

He reiterated, "Right now, we begin to know each other. We're just going with the flow. And I don't think you can predict anything or plan anything far ahead. Right now, we're taking it a day at a time. We're just getting to know each other."

Will there be a chance for him and Angel to go out again?

Phil said that he's aware that Angel has a very busy schedule, so "We really can't meet regularly."

He also points out how busy he will be in the next few days. The Azkals are currently training for the second leg for the Philippines' AFC Challenge Cup qualifying series against Mongolia.

After their high-altitude training in Baguio City last week, the team will be flying to Japan on Monday, March 7, for more training before they go to Ulan Bator in Mongolia.

"She's very busy, and, see, I have football and the Azkals," said Phil. "I don't know. There's plan yet. We haven't plan to go out yet. But hopefully soon, I don't know."

Despite this, Phil said he could still have continuing communication with the Kapamilya actress.

"There's great easy ways to communicate—there's Internet, there's Facebook, there's Twitter. There's a lot of ways to communicate with everyone around the world. I'm sure there will still be communication while I'm away in Japan or in Mongolia."

WILLING TO WAIT FOR ANGEL. Although Phil did not say if he has plans to court Angel, he repeatedly said during the interview that he would want to know her better.

"I'm willing to be patient, I'm willing to take my time," the popular football player said.

"I think it's important to be very patient. She's a very popular person. She's a very busy person. We'll see.

"You need time to get to know someone. You know, it doesn't happen overnight.

"This is new for me and I think you have to be patient and I'm willing to be patient. I'm not one of those who, like most athletes, they'll be with someone else and they'll be with someone else. I'm not one of those people."

Gelli de Belen vehemently denies rumored breakup with husband Ariel Rivera: "There's nothing to prove."

Nagsimula nang sumalang kagabi, February 28, si Gelli de Belen bilang pinakabagong host ng showbiz talk show na Tweetbiz Insiders, na napapanood mula Lunes hanggang Biyernes, 11:30 a.m. at 7:10 p.m., sa GMA News TV Channel 11.

Si Gelli at si Fabio Ide ang mga bagong makakasama ng main hosts ng naturang show na sina Tim Yap at Lolit Solis, kasama rin sina Gorgy Rula, Ronnie Carrasco, Danzen Santos, Justine Ferrer, at Chariz Solomon.

Pero sa first night ni Gelli ay hindi siya nakaligtas sa pang-iintriga ng Tweetbiz Insiders dahil kaagad siyang isinalang sa hot seat.

Isang maintrigang tanong nga ang isinalubong ni Manay Lolit kay Gelli: kung totoo bang hiwalay na sila ni Ariel Rivera?

Pero mariing pinabulaanan ni Gelli ang isyung ito at sinabing masaya ang relationship nilang mag-asawa. Aniya pa, "there's nothing to prove" kung hiwalay sila dahil hindi talaga.

Dahil wala ngang mapigang personal na intriga kay Gelli ay dumako ang pagtatanong sa mga taong malapit kay Gelli. "Okay naman, Janice is fine with it. Wala namang problema, ang tagal-tagal na nilang wala. Yung mga bata, nandoon naman sa wedding," sabi ni Gelli.

AIKO'S LATEST BREAKUP. Sumunod namang itinanong kay Gelli ang kaibigan niyang si Aiko Melendez, na nakipaghiwalay na sa boyfriend nitong si Bulacan Mayor Patrick Meneses.

"I guess things didn't work out," ani Gelli.

Nagbigay rin daw siya ng advice kay Aiko. "Sabi ko lang sa kanya, ‘Huwag ka nang magsalita. Hayaan mo na lang. Hindi naman kailangang mag-explain.'"

Maayos ba ang naging breakup nina Aiko at Patrick?

"Maayos naman. Although I'm not sure kung nakapag-usap na sila after the breakup."

Bilang nasa isang masaya at matatag na relasyon siya with Ariel, masasabi niya bang ang nagdadala sa isang relasyon ay ang babae?

"From my experience, the man will set the pace but the woman will keep it going. Sabi ko lang kay Aiko, I think lang she hasn't found the right man for her."

Kailan ang right time para mahanap ni Aiko ang right man for her?

"When she herself is whole. Feeling ko, parang nobody else can complete you... nobody else can complete your happiness hangga't hindi ka buong-buo. Pag buong-buo ka na at happy ka na, doon ka lang makakahanap ng tama para sa iyo," makahulugang pahayag ni Gelli.

FIRST REGULAR SHOWBIZ TALK SHOW. Pagkatapos ng Tweetbiz Insiders ay nagkaroon ng pagkakataon ang PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) na ma-interview si Gelli para kumustahin siya sa kanyang unang pagsalang sa first regular showbiz talk show niya. Bago kasi ito ay nakalabas na si Gelli bilang guest co-host sa Showbiz Central.

"Masaya, tsismisan lang. Parang nakikipagkuwentuhan lang ako sa kapitbahay," paglalarawan ni Gelli sa unang gabi niya sa show.

Ano ang feeling na inintriga siya agad sa show?

"Parang hindi naman ako ang inintriga. Wala naman kasing intriga ang buhay ko. Feeling ko, nagtatanong lang sina Tita Lolit at Gorgy ng wala lang. Kaya ang nangyari tuloy, ‘yong ibang taong close sa akin na lang ang itinanong sa akin, si Janice nga at saka si Aiko," sabi niya.

"It's fun, it's really fun," sagot niya.

"Si Tita Lolit kasi parang ngayon ko lang siya talaga nakatrabaho. I grew up with her... I mean with her around. Kaibigan kasi siya ni Tito Dougs [ang yumaong manager ni Gelli dati na si Douglas Quijano]. Pero never ko siyang nakatrabaho talaga. Ngayon lang.

"Pero parang hindi naman kami nagtatrabaho ni Tita Lolit. Parang tsismisan lang kami nang tsismisan.

"Si Tim din, first time ko siyang makatrabaho. It's fun working with him.

"Yung ibang hosts, fun din katrabaho. Very friendly silang lahat, very welcoming. I'm glad na everybody is fine with me kahit ako yung pinakabago at saka si Fabio. Haping-happy ako."

Natutuwa rin si Gelli dahil kasabay ng pagpasok niya ay ang iba pang pagbabago sa show tulad ng high-tech na set pati na rin ang pamamaraan ng pagbabalita.

"E, ganyan talaga ang technology, kailangan sumasabay ka sa pagbabago. Kailangan nag-a-update tayong lahat, di ba? Siyempre, masaya, high-tech."

Aminado naman si Gelli na hindi siya gano'ng ka-updated sa mga nangyayari sa showbiz kaya nagugulat siya sa ibang mga ibinabalita sa show. Gaya na lang ng pagkawala ng SexBomb sa Eat Bulaga! dahil sa pagtatrabaho ni Joy Cancio, manager ng SexBomb, sa katapat na programang Happy, Yipee, Yehey!.

"Tama, nagugulat talaga ako. Hindi ko alam na may ganun na pala. Siyempre, bago pa lang ako. Pagtakbo pa nito, mas marami pa akong malalaman."

Plano niya bang mag-research dahil dito?

"Actually, hindi masyado para hindi plakado yung alam ko. Para naman nagugulat-gulat pa ako. Of course, kahit paano, mabuti rin yung may alam kang konti para may ibabato ka pag discussion na.

"Pero mabuti rin yung nagugulat ako. At least yung makukuha n'yong reaksyon sa akin, hindi yung inaral, parang natural lang, di ba?"

Ano naman ang reaksiyon ng asawa niyang si Ariel sa pagtanggap niya sa Tweetbiz Insiders?

"Siyempre, masaya siya for me, trabaho ‘yan, e. Yung asawa ko naman very supportive sa lahat ng pinapasok ko," sagot ni Gelli.

Paano niya ide-describe ang relationship nila ngayon ng asawa niya?

"I'm happy and blessed with Ariel. Kasi alam mo sa isang relationship, maraming dapat trabahuhin, e. Pero hangga't nandiyan yung love, acceptance, at understanding, yung relationship will always be strong.

"At saka ang maganda sa amin, we let each other grow on our own pagdating, halimbawa, sa career namin at sa gusto pa naming ma-achieve. Pero we grow together for our kids, for our family," saad niya.

Ngayong busy na siya sa career niya, matutuloy pa ba ang plano nilang mag-migrate sa Canada?

"Yung pagma-migrate naman, matagal pa yun. Pag college na ang mga bata, doon pa lang kami aalis.

"Pero hindi naman ako titira doon. Pabalik-balik pa rin ako dito. Hindi naman ako Canadian citizen. So, kumbaga, dito pa rin ako magre-retire sa bansa natin."

Bukod sa Tweetbiz Insiders, kasama rin si Gelli sa upcoming weekly horror-comedy miniseries ng GMA-7, Ang Spooky Mo! Presents Bampirella, na pagbibidahan ni Marian Rivera.

Si Ariel naman ay babalik na sa ABS-CBN, kung saan makakasama siya sa cast ng remake ng Mula Sa Puso.
